President's Message

Dear Fellow Alumni, Students and Friends,

 Alumni President

It is an honor serving as your Alumni Association President. I would like to welcome you to your newly developed alumni website. I am excited about the opportunity to meet and work with fellow alumni and give back to a school that has played such an intricate role in the development of my education. Although I graduated in 2007, I have been a part of the CAU family for more than a decade. Throughout my years as a CAU student, I recall going through both good and bad times while watching many friends come and go.  Throughout my educational experience, I often found solace and support with fellow alumni and friends, who quite often faced similar obstacles. Many of us graduates wait to play a role in the alumni association. I encourage you to become an active participant right away. What better way of rekindling friendships and creating new ones, while at the same time being given the opportunity to impact on your university’s growth and advancement.

This coming year, we, your Alumni Board plan on implementing many programs and activities that may suit your needs, such as continuing education courses for professional development, social networking events, and community outreach initiatives. We are planning a spectacular event for the annual 2008 Showcasing Our Own Alumni Awards Evening. You really won’t want to miss this one. In recognition of our alumni, five new candidates will be nominated to receive prestigious awards for their achievements and contributions to their community, humanity and to their respective professions.

I would like to congratulate the class of 2008 and be the first to welcome you to the CAU Alumni Association. Please consider actively supporting your Alumni Association by staying connected with old friends and creating new ones. Also, I encourage you to become a mentor by passing on your knowledge and sharing your experiences with current and future CAU students.

My appreciation goes out to the Alumni Board members and the staff of the Alumni and Development Office, who continue to support the association generously with their time donations and unselfish acts toward the enhancement of our Association.

Please remember, whether your experiences as a CAU student were positive or negative, you will always be a part of our family. Personally, I will never forget the relationships developed and help I received. My friends and fellow colleagues of CAU, now would be the perfect time to join us in becoming a member of our unique CAU alumni family.

Sincerely,

Lawrence J. Simon, M.S., Psy.D.

President
