Leonel E. Mesa, Jr., Psy.D., LMHC received his Masters and Doctorate of Psychology Degrees from Carlos Albizu University, then known as the Miami Institute of Psychology.

Dr. Mesa has been in the counseling profession for 16 years and for the past 13 years has provided counseling services to families, couples and children. He has specialized in the area of domestic violence, fatherhood and marriage enhancement. Dr. Mesa is an international speaker and trainer with a presentation style characterized by his dynamic, enthusiastic and motivational approach of engaging his audience.

He has served on the Governor’s Task Force on Domestic Violence Faith Committee as a community member and has received two gubernatorial appointments, in September 2001 as Vice-Chair of the Florida’s Commission on Responsible Fatherhood and in October 2003, as Vice-Chair of the Commission on Marriage and Family Support Initiatives.

Dr. Mesa has been happily married to his wife Teri for the past 12 years and is the proud father of two daughters, 8 year old Emily Anne and 4 year old Erika Nicole.
