Profile:Jason Hamilton
Dr. Jason Scott Hamilton is currently the Associate Director of the Ronald E. McNair Post-baccalaureate Achievement Program at Florida International University.
He was born the eldest of three siblings in Kingston, Jamaica, in the West-Indies.

Dr. Hamilton obtained a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from FIU. While working at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, he developed a special interest in working with children infected with HIV/AIDS and consequently decided to pursue a Masters of Science in Psychology and Guidance Counseling.
He completed his Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialty in Pediatric-Neuropsychology from Carlos Albizu University in 2004.

Dr. Hamilton has won various awards during his career. These include:
- 1991 Rookie Teacher of the Year Award for Exceptional Education
- The 2001 Carlin Foundation Making a Difference Award
- 2006 Distinguished Performance Award – FIU Faculty Advisor of the Year
- 2006 Distinguished Alumni Award – FIU Service Award

Dr. Hamilton is involved in various ways in the community and he serves on the CAU Alumni Association Board where he is an active contributor.
